Our recipe started around a family kitchen table, long before there was a SLAPS! sign above the door. It was the dish everyone asked for at birthdays, long weekends and ordinary Tuesday nights, and it was always the first plate to empty.
Seasoned With Love
Over the years the recipe was tweaked, tasted, argued about and tweaked again, until everyone agreed it was just right. Somewhere along the way, friends started asking for the secret, and then for seconds, and eventually for a place to come and get it whenever they liked.
That is how SLAPS! was born. We still season, coat and fry in small batches so every piece tastes like it came from home. The exact blend stays under lock and key, but we are always happy to share the chicken, and we hope every visit feels a little like pulling up a chair at our table.
